ProMentoring Program

ProMentoring Inc. is a Toronto-based consultancy that specializes in corporate mentoring (workplace mentoring) helping leadership-oriented organizations anticipate and fulfill their needs in an ever-changing and fiercely competitive global environment. The maxim, “Knowledge is power,” has never been more apt than in the knowledge-based economy of the 21st Century. Therefore, our leadership programs use the mentoring approach to help organizations harness and leverage their existing knowledge base and experience to:

· Build and develop a new generation of leaders in ongoing succession training

· Ease the transitioning processes for outgoing and incoming CEOs

· Minimize and forestall generational conflicts between Generations X and Y

· Increase productivity and employee retention

· Grow and develop market share

ProMentoring Program Overview

The ProMentoring Program is a customized, intensive, participatory learning experience. Its two-pronged approach aims at developing awareness of the importance of leadership in both the organization and its employees. It does this by:

· Facilitating the passing on of essential leadership traits to the next generation, which ensures the future success of the organization

· Exploring the competencies needed to develop both the mentor and mentee to implement leadership development

Workshop Objectives

Baby Boomers, the largest generation in history, are getting ready to retire. When they do, they take with them a considerable share of an organization’s intellectual knowledge base and capital. With the replacement cost of a typical worker averaging nearly $50,000, workplace mentoring is an inexpensive method to ensure knowledge transfer and advance the growth and development of the organization through succession planning. The benefits of  corporate mentoring programs and our workshop objectives are to:

1) Assist organizations in leveraging the mind-share of retiring Boomers to ensure knowledge retention and continuity for the organization

2) Enable the rising leaders to garner first-hand business knowledge and expertise through the
development of a rewarding one-on-one relationship

3) Engage employees across the enterprise by increasing their knowledge of the workings of the
organization and available career paths which increases productivity and retention

4) Develop best practices in corporate-diversity initiatives since changing demographics have a direct impact on organizations’ bottom lines

Workplace mentoring can be a mutually rewarding opportunity, where both individuals find that their shared experiences further develop them personally and professionally.
